Report: Forest Ridge spent $8,454 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Forest Ridge School District 142 is down 4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $8,785 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,454 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1623 to 1668.

Forest Ridge's spending in 2016-17 was 35 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
