Report: Palos Heights spent $11,156 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Palos Heights School District 128 is down 2 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,326 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,156 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 763 to 705.

Palos Heights's spending in 2016-17 was 14 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
