Report: Oak Lawn Hometown spent $11,862 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Oak Lawn Hometown School District 123 is down 7 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,748 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,862 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3058 to 3202.

Oak Lawn Hometown's spending in 2016-17 was 9 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
