Report: Lansing spent $10,693 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Lansing School District 158 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $9,724 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,693 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2329 to 2596.

Lansing's spending in 2016-17 was 18 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
