Report: Lemont spent $19,519 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Lemont Township High School District 210 is up 26 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $15,494 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $19,519 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1473 to 1367.

Lemont's spending in 2016-17 was 50 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
