Report: Brookwood spent $13,124 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Brookwood School District 167 is up 9 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,002 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,124 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1221 to 1182.

Brookwood's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
