Report: Burnham spent $10,915 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Burnham School District 154-5 is up 4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,495 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,915 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 191 to 201.

Burnham's spending in 2016-17 was 16 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
