Report: Sunnybrook spent $11,317 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Sunnybrook School District 171 is up 5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,803 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,317 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1020 to 1008.

Sunnybrook's spending in 2016-17 was 13 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
