Report: General George Patton spent $16,085 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at General George Patton School District 133 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $14,590 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $16,085 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 344 to 287.

General George Patton's spending in 2016-17 was 24 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
