General George Patton School District 133 accumulated $1.76 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a South Cook News analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Gen George Patton SD 133 reported 18.5 percent less revenue. At the same time, total spending went down 13.9 percent.
