Willow Springs School District 108 students suspended 7 times in a single school year

Willow Springs School District 108 reported seven suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

The district transferred one students to another program instead of suspending or expelling them.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 7 students during the year. That equates to 1.9 percent of the 375 students enrolled.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes five incidents. There were one incidents of tobacco. For six incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
