Village of Tinley Park issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.
The Village is undertaking several road construction initiatives around town. Below is an update on a few key projects.
Oak Park Avenue Resurfacing: This week, contractor Iroquois Paving plans to switch traffic from the west side of Oak Park Avenue to the east side for the Stage II configuration as soon as the temporary striping can be completed. This was delayed by the rain because the pavement was wet.
South Street Road Work: As of Tuesday, work was 45% complete. All storm, sanitary and watermains are installed. This week the contractor will pressure-test and chlorinate the watermain, prep the base and begin curb work.
183rd Street Resurfacing: As of Tuesday, the project is 97% complete. Remaining work includes removing temporary striping, backfill/clean up behind the curb, reinstalling the stop sign and restoration.
