Diane Pappas led Republican Christine Jennifer Winger in votes cast in Cook County for the District 45 state House race, according to the latest vote count.

Pappas appeared to outpace Winger by a margin of 6.7 percent on Tuesday in the county.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Christine Jennifer Winger, won by a margin of 2.6 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Jenny M. Burke, who received 1,002 votes to Winger's 1,056.
