Village of Tinley Park issued the following announcement on Nov. 15.
Tinley Park's Emergency Management Agency has once again received state accreditation, one of only 11 local agencies to achieve that status. Accreditation is important because it enhances the agency's ability to receive state and federal grants. Tinley Park EMA received the accreditation in accordance with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act. Pictured at right is Assistant Village Manager and Director of EMA/911 Communications Pat Carr, and Jimmy Thompson, regional director of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
