Village of Alsip Village Board of Trustees met December 17.

            1) Approval to create a Class “C” Liquor License for Shell Gas Station 11725 S. Pulaski within the convenience store to be known as Alsip Simple Mart operated by Stephen & Cimi Chacko pending application and compliance associated with said license.

            1) Approval of the November 2018 FOIA Report.

            2) Presentation and approval of the December 3, 2018 Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes.

             1) Request for approval of a list of payroll dated December 7, 2018 totaling $478,212.83.

             2) Request for approval of accounts payable dated December 17, 2018 totaling $1,359,985.84.

             3) Approval of an Ordinance Levying Taxes for General Corporate Purpose for the Fiscal Year Beginning May 1, 2018 and Ending April 30, 2019, for the Village of Alsip, Cook County, Illinois.

      B. Fire, Trustee McLawhorn

             1) Approval to have the attorney draft an ordinance to update 2018-11-2 to incorporate Remote Station Monitoring according to NFPA 72 section 26.5 as a viable alternatives for fire alarm system monitoring.

             2) Approval of the October 2018 Monthly Activity Report from the Fire Prevention Bureau.

             3) Approval of the September 2018 Monthly Activity Report based on the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS).

             4) Approval of the Chief’s recommendation to move forward with the purchase of Genesis Hydraulic Tools totaling $25,120.00 that was approved for purchase by the Foreign Fire Tax Insurance Fund.

      C. Police, Trustee McGreal

              1) Approval to outfit three (3) previously approved Police Ford Explorers at a cost not to exceed $49,000 total for all three vehicles. We did budget for this expense. We will be recycling from old squads 2 Rifle Racks, 2 Radios, 1 Light bar, 1 Siren Controller and possibly 1 Camera System.

      D. Public Works and Boat Launch, Trustee Juarez

              1) Approval of the November 2018 Monthly Activity Report.

      E. Building, Trustee Zielinski

      F. Sewer and Water, Trustee Dalzell

             1) Approval of the November 2018 Monthly Activity Report.

             2) Approval to purchase water meters at a cost not to exceed $80,500.00. This purchase is for the ongoing replacement of residential water meters and was appropriated for in the FY19 budget.

      G. License, Trustee Juarez

            1) Request for approval of a list of licenses dated November 26th thru December 10th, 2018.

      H. Economic Development, Trustee Murphy

            1) Approval of the November 2018 Monthly Activity Report.

      I. Planning and Zoning, Trustee Zielinski

           1) Approval of Case #2018-11-V-200 for a variance of an oversized garage on the property commonly known as 11911 S. Avers, Alsip, IL 60803. The Planning and Zoning Committee voted 4-0 to approve variance request on November 28, 2018.

           2) December is National AIDS Awareness Month. The red ribbon month represents raising awareness, public education and remembering those impacted by HIV/ AIDS.
