City of Burbank Council met Oct. 31.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting of October 31,2018 was called to order at 7:30 pM by Mayor Dan M. Foy in the Council Chambers at 6530 West 79th Street Burbank, Illinois.

ROLL CALL

Mayor Foy requested a roll call which indicated the following members present: Alderwoman Gagl e, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski, Alderman Pyle, Mayor Foy, Clerk Szymczak, Treasurer Viverito and Attorney Michael Cainkar.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Foy asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

JOURNAL

Alderman James Grider made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to approve the minutes of October 10, 2018. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote and so declared by the Chair.

CURRENT BILLS

Alderman Grider made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gagle to approve the current list of bills. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

TREASURER'S REPORT

No report was filed by Treasurer Dean Viverito

CLERK'S REPORT

Clerk Barry Szymczak reported that Citv Hall would be closed on Monday November 12,2018 in commemoration of Veterans Dav and Thursdav Nov. 22nd and Friday Nov. 23'd for the Thanksgiving Holiday

DEPT. OF ZONING

Alderman Robert Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson to adopt Ordinance #33-10-18 amending Section 4-87,detached garages, of Chapter 4, Buildings and Structures, of the Municipal Code of the City of Burbank, Illinois. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson. Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

DEPT. OF PUBLIC SAFETY

Alderwoman Barb Gagle made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to adopt Resolution #10-2-18 authorizing the execution of the mutual aid box alarm system. Division No. 21, intergovernmental agreement. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderwoman Barb Gagle then made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to authorize the City of Burbank to purchase 3 new cardiac monitor/defibrillators with full l2-lead ECG, ETCo2, carbon Monoxide NIBP for the Burbank Fire Department for an amount not to exceed $94,000.00. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson. Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderwoman Gagle then made a motion seconded by Alderman Pyle to authorize the City of Burbank to purchase 2-Type III dosage ambulances with new Ford E-450 gas chassis and 168 inch refurbished modular bodies for the Burbank Fire Department for an amount not to exceed $225,000.00. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderwoman Gagle the made a motion seconded by Alderman Piznarski to adopt ordinance #34-10-18 amending Section 2-343,Examination for Promotion, of Chapter 2, Administration, Article XIV, Board of Fire and police Commissioners, of the Burbank Municipal Code. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays- voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle. Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

DEPT. OF PUBLIC WORKS

Alderman Mitch Piznarski made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gagle to adopt Ordinance # 32-10-18 authorizing the execution of the Illinois Public works Mutual Aid Network Agreement (IPWMAN). A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle. Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle. The agreement will commence January 2019

DEPT. OF FINANCE

Alderman James Grider made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to adopt ordinance #31-10-18 providing forthe issue of $4,445,000.00 General obligation Bonds, Series 2018, of the city of Bwbank, cook county, Illinois and for the levy of a direct annual tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest on said bonds. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Arderman Pyle.

DEPT. OF ADMINISTRATION

Mayor Foy informed the audience that the Burbank Fire Department has received the Bronze Plus EMS Achievement Award from The American Heart Association for their continued success in using the Mission Lifeline-EMS Program. Fire Chief Dave Gilgenberg gave a brief summary of the procedures.

CITIZEN'S REPORT

The Chair recognized George Fonier 8144 South New England who inquired about snow removal for senior citizens by the Department of Public Works. The Mayor informed Mr. Fortier that Public Works could assist in removing snow from driveway entrances when called upon but complete snow removal on properties was not an option. The chair then recognized Charles Bandusky 8548 South Lavergne who inquired about parking on both sides of Lavergne Ave. from 79'h to 87th Streets. The area will be surveyed at the proper time and a decision on a "snow route" would be made. Mr. Bandusky then inquired about funding for the Ceda Wick Program. Blight officer Dave wilson said that the program was state-funded. The chair then invited anyone from Reavis High school to have their government class forms signed at the adjournment of the Council meeting.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, the Chair asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Alderman Contreras and seconded by Alderman Pyle with unanimous voice approval and so declared by the Chair. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
