Burbank School District 111 recently issued the following announcement.
Notice is hereby given that Burbank School District 111 will hold a Public Hearing to receive comments from educators and parents on the proposed holiday plan. Per Public Act 96-640, Section 24-2 of the School Code, the District plans to conduct a regular school day on Casimir Pulaski’s Birthday, March 4, 2019, to make up for the emergency day used in November. It is the intent of the District to treat this day as a commemorative holiday and coordinate activities which would instruct students on the accomplishments of General Pulaski. The Public Hearing will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 6:45 p.m. in the board room at the District Office, 7600 S. Central Avenue, Burbank, Illinois. The Regular Board of Education Meeting will follow this Public Hearing.
