Village of Park Forest issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.
Several forums will be held over the coming months for candidates running in the April 2 election. The forums are sponsored by various community organizations and allow residents to learn more about the candidates and where they stand on various issues.
Upcoming forums are as follows:
Saturday, Feb. 9 (for local school district candidates only)
11 - 12:30 School District 163
1 - 2:30 School District 227
3 - 4:30 Prairie State College District 515
Location: Park Forest Village Hall, 350 Victory Dr.
Sponsored by the League of Women Voters Park Forest Area
Tuesday, Feb. 12* at 7 p.m. (for Park Forest Public Library candidates only)
Location: Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Blvd.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library
*this date was originally scheduled for Feb. 3 but has been rescheduled for Feb. 12
Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m. (for Village of Park Forest trustee and mayoral candidates only)
