JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Be mindful of the large musk ox, penguin and caribou migration

Announcement

Johnson County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Jan. 31.

**Attention**

While traveling through the county today, be mindful of the large musk ox, penguin and caribou migration. The occasional polar bear encounter, can not be ruled out. If you do encounter a polar bear, please remember these tips: don't act like prey, try to appear larger than you are, use bear spray only if necessary.

In all seriousness. Please be careful today! Don't venture out unless absolutely necessary. If you must get out, limit your time outside. Have an emergency kit in your vehicle. Make sure your phone is charged. Check on your elderly neighbors.
