Report: Ford Heights spent $26,226 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Ford Heights School District 169 is up 10.5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $23,743 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $26,226 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 430 to 447.

Ford Heights's spending in 2017-18 was 96.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
