Report: Palos Heights spent $13,598 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Palos Heights School District 128 is up 29.3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,517 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,598 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 763 to 687.

Palos Heights's spending in 2017-18 was 2 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
