Report: Prairie-Hills spent $12,379 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Prairie-Hills Elementary School District 144 is up 1.9 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,150 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,379 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2704 to 2769.

Prairie-Hills's spending in 2017-18 was 7.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
