Report: Alsip, Hazelgreen, Oak Lawn spent $13,685 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Alsip, Hazelgreen, Oak Lawn School District 126 is up 12.8 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,133 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,685 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1597 to 1612.

Alsip, Hazelgreen, Oak Lawn's spending in 2017-18 was 2.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
