Report: Oak Lawn Hometown spent $12,545 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Oak Lawn Hometown School District 123 is up 11.2 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,284 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,545 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3060 to 3301.

Oak Lawn Hometown's spending in 2017-18 was 5.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
