Report: Bloom spent $17,562 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Bloom Township High School District 206 is up 6.4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $16,509 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $17,562 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3303 to 3075.

Bloom's spending in 2017-18 was 31.7 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
