Report: Brookwood spent $13,890 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Brookwood School District 167 is up 17.3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,846 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,890 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1270 to 1148.

Brookwood's spending in 2017-18 was 4.1 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
