Report: South Holland spent $13,975 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at South Holland School District 151 is up 22.7 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,387 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,975 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1610 to 1455.

South Holland's spending in 2017-18 was 4.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
