Report: Sunnybrook spent $10,981 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Sunnybrook School District 171 is up 10.9 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $9,906 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,981 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1050 to 1062.

Sunnybrook's spending in 2017-18 was 17.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
