Village of Flossmoor issued the following announcement on Feb. 6.
As a result of the extreme cold temperatures last week, the Village is experiencing an increased number of water main breaks and broken water service pipes in homes and businesses. A majority of the broken water service pipes are located in vacant homes. We are asking residents to report any suspicious water flow from homes, sump pumps and parkways to the Public Works Department at (708) 957-4100. This assistance will help Public Works locate the leaks sooner and turn off water to reduce water loss. Thank you in advance!
