Ingalls Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.

Fibroids are growths in a woman’s uterus and are a common,

benign (non-cancerous) issue but trigger significant pain and discomfort including:

• Heavy, painful periods

• Fullness and swelling in the lower abdomen or pelvis

• Frequent urination

• Pain during sex and in lower back

• Fertility problems

Come hear physicians from Ingalls Medical Staff, discuss
