Citizens for a Better Southland, Charles Givines owes $12,600 in fines

The campaign committee Citizens for a Better Southland, Charles Givines owes a $5,000 fine imposed on March 24, 2017, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $7,600 with Charles "Chuck" Givens listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 54 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $259,034.50 in pending fines.
