commissioner candidate Abdelnasser Rashid returns $5,600 contribution from Haitham Abuzir

The campaign committee of commissioner candidate Abdelnasser Rashid, Friends for Rashid, returned a $5,600 contribution from Haitham Abuzir on Oct. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Abuzir has not made any other contributions to Abdelnasser Rashid in the past 12 months.
