The campaign committee of state representative candidate Robert "Bob" Rita, Friends of Robert "Bob" Rita, returned a $10,800 contribution from Simmons Hanly Conroy on Jan. 7, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Simmons Hanly Conroy has not made any other contributions to Robert "Bob" Rita in the past 12 months.
