Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau issued the following announcement on Apr. 4.
The Chicago Southland has received the SportsEvents 2019 Reader’s Choice Award for Sports Destinations. SportsEvents is a leading industry publication that focuses exclusively on helping sports event planners create amazing competitions in the United States. Chicago Southland was voted the best destination in Illinois to host various sports tournaments. Chicago Southland CVB also nominated Tom Cole, President of National Xball League, in the Event Planner category and the NXL Paintball Chicago Open in the Sports Event category; both won Readers’ Choice Awards this year.
Sports in the Chicago Southland play a major role in in bringing people to the area. With facilities able to accommodate upwards of 45 sports throughout its 63 communities, any sporting event in the Chicago Southland is sure to turn into a lifetime of memories.
