Thornton home prices fall in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Thornton fell by $18,750 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $71,250 - a 20.8% decrease over the $90,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Thornton in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Thornton for 2017 was $3,400. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,388. This marks an increase of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.8%.
