Chicago Heights home prices rise in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Chicago Heights rose by $18,750 while total sales increased by 10%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were 22 homes sold, with a median sale price of $57,000 - a 49% increase over the $38,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 20 homes sold in Chicago Heights in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Chicago Heights for 2017 was $3,335. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,321. This marks an increase of 0.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.9%.
