Park Forest (Cook County) home prices rise in February 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2017 in Park Forest in Cook County rose by $7,250 while total sales decreased by 47.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2017, there were 12 homes sold, with a median sale price of $41,750 - a 21% increase over the $34,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 23 homes sold in Park Forest in February 2016.

The median sales tax in Park Forest for 2017 was $4,938. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,692. This marks an increase of 5.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 11.8%.
