Steger (Cook County) home prices rise in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Steger in Cook County rose by $52,500 while total sales decreased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $80,000 - a 190.9% increase over the $27,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Steger in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Steger for 2017 was $1,663. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,668. This marks an decrease of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
