Lansing home prices fall in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Lansing fell by $17,250 while total sales increased by 13.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were 43 homes sold, with a median sale price of $65,000 - a 21% decrease over the $82,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in Lansing in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Lansing for 2017 was $3,821. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,671. This marks an increase of 4.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.9%.
