Homewood home prices rise in October 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2017 in Homewood rose by $12,750 while total sales increased by 11.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2017, there were 40 homes sold, with a median sale price of $142,000 - a 9.9% increase over the $129,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 36 homes sold in Homewood in October 2016.

The median sales tax in Homewood for 2017 was $4,741. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,673. This marks an increase of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.3%.
