Markham home prices fall in October 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2017 in Markham fell by $7,000 while total sales increased by 122.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2017, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $43,000 - a 14% decrease over the $50,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Markham in October 2016.

The median sales tax in Markham for 2017 was $3,034. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,036. This marks an decrease of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 7.1%.
