City of Burbank Council met April 10.

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting of April 10, 2019 r.vas called to order at 7:30 PM by Mayor Dan M. Foy in the Council Chambers at 6530 West 79'h Street Burbank. Il.

ROLL CALL

Mayor Foy requested a roll call which indicated the following members present: Alderwoman Barb Gagle, Alderman Robert Contreras. Alderwoman Sheri Gustafson, Alderman James Grider, Alderman John Pacella, Alderman Mitchell Piznarski, Alderman Jason Pyle, Mayor Dan M. Foy, Clerk Barry J. Szvmezak and City Attorney Vince Cainkar. Absent: Treasurer Viverito.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Foy asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

IOIIRNAL

Alderman Grider made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to approve the minutes of March 2'7 ,2019. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote and so declared by the Chair.

CURRENT BILLS

Alderman Grider then made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to approve the current list of bills. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

CLERK'S REPORT

Clerk Szymczak reported that City Hall will be closed on Friday April l9m in commemoration of Good Friday.

A Joint Review Board hearing was held pursuant to law on Monday April 8, 2019 @ 4 PM in Council Chambers in reference to the Old Barn Redevelopment Project Area.

A bid opening was held on Friday April 5, 2019 for the 2019 MFT Maintenance Hot-Mix Asphalt Program. The following companies submitted bids:

Lindahl Brothers 500 tons $52.00 per ton $27,999.40 total $50.00 / load dumping

K-Five Const. 500 tons $55.00 per ton $30.641.70 total $25.00 / load dumping

DEPT. OF FINANCE

Alderman James Grider made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson to adopt Ordinance # 11-4-19 of the City of Burbank terminating Special Service Area numbers 46 through 50. A roll call

indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider. Alderman Pacella Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderman Grider then made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to adopt Ordinance # l2'4- 19 providing for the levy and assessment of a tax in and for the City of Burbank Special Service Area #51 for the tax year 2019. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras. Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider. Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Aldennan Pvle.

Alderman Grider then made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to adopt Ordinance #13-4- 19 providing for the levy and assessment of a tax in and for the City of Burbank Special Service

Area# 52 for the tax year 2019. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderman Grider then made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to adopt Ordinance #14-4- l9 providing for the levy and assessment of a tax in and for the City of Burbank Special Service Area #53 for the tax year 2019. A, roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alder-woman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

DEPT. OF PIIB. SAFETY

Alderwoman Barb Gagle made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson to appoint Andrzej (Andy) Tylka as Firefighter/Paramedic to the Burbank Fire Department. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alder-woman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle. The candidate was sworn in by Claude Haerr of the Fire-Police Commission. Mayor Foy read a brief biography of the candidate.

DEPT. OF ADMINISTRATION

Mayor Foy asked for a motion to adopt Ordinance #15-4-19, Health, by adding Section 7-4. Illinois Food Service Sanitation Code, of the Burbank Municipal Code. The motion was made by Alderwoman Gagle and seconded by Alderman Pyle. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson. Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

NEW BUSINESS (PUB.WORKS)

Alderman Mitchell Piznarski made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to award the 2019 MFT Maintenance Program Contract to Lindahl Brothers at a cost of $21,999.40 ($52.00 per ton / 500 tons / $50.00 load dumping). A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alder-woman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pvle.

The Chair then invited anyone from Reavis High School to have their government class forms signed at the adjournment of the Council Meeting.

MOTION TO ADJOURN

There being no further business, the Chair asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion u'as made by Alderman Contreras and seconded by Alderwoman Gagle with unanimous voice approval and so declared by the Chair.

The meeting u,as adjourned at 7:39 PM.
