City of Burbank Council met March 27.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting of March 21,2019 was called to order at7:30 PM by Mayor Dan M. Foy in the Council Chambers at 6530 West 79'r' Street Burbank. Il.

ROLL CALL

Mayor Foy requested a roll call which indicated the following members present: Alderwoman Barb Gagle, Alderman Robert Contreras, Alderwoman Sheri Gustafson, Alderman James Grider, Alderman John Pacella. Alderman Mitchell Piznarski, Alderman Jason Pyle. Mayor Dan M. Foy, Clerk Barry J. Szymczak, Treasurer Dean Viverito and City Attorney Vince Cainkar.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Foy asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

DEPT. OF ADMINISTRATION

Mayor Foy asked for a moment of silence in memory of Greg Ford. Mr. Ford was a long time resident of the City of Burbank, President of the Stickney Township Regular Democratic Organization, former treasurer of Burbank School District 111 and 220,past president of the South Stickney Sanitary District, and retired employee of Peoples Gas.

JOURNAL

Alderman Grider made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to approve the minutes of March 13, 2019. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote and so declared by the Chair.

CURRENT BILLS

Alderman Grider then made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gagle to approve the current list of bills. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

DEPT. OF FINANCE

Alderman Grider made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to adopt Ordinance #6-3-19 providing for an appropriation for the General Fund for the Fiscal Year beginning January 1.2019 and ending December 31. 2019 lor the City of Burbank, Cook County, Illinois. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle. Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderman Crider then made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson to adopt Ordinance #7- 3- l9 approving the reservation of Volume cap in connection with private activity bond issues and related matters. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Grider, Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pvle.

DEPT. OF ADMINISTRATION

Mayor Foy asked for a motion to adopt Ordinance # l0-3-19 amending Chapter 8, Licenses and Permits. by amending Section 8-146, Vehicle License Year: additional Fees. of the City of Burbank Municipal Code. The motion was made by Alderman Pyle and seconded by Alderman Pacella. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson. Alderman Grider. Alderman Pacella. Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

NEW BUSINESS (ADMINISTRATION)

Mayor Foy introduced Randy Conn of McDonald's Corporation who introduced plans for remodeling of the facility on 79'r' Street. Mr. Conn stated that the new facility would be 5300 square feet and state of the art in every facet possible, including multiple drive-thru lanes.

Mayor Foy also informed the Council and audience that St. Albert the Great Church has submitted a written request for permission to have the parish carnival approved for August 2019.

Mayor Foy then thanked the members of the Fire-Police Commission for their hard work regarding the recent disciplinary hearing.

CITIZEN REPORT

The Chair recognized Charles Bandusky 8548 South LaVergne who inquired about an update on the Melvina Ditch Project. Mayor Foy stated that it was close to being on schedule.

The Chair then recognized Frank Pryztula 8503 South Oak Park who asked for clarification o, the passing of Ordinance #7 -3-19. City Attorney Vince Cainkar explained the ordinance to the gallery.

The Chair then invited anyone from Reavis High School to have their government class forms signed at the adjournment of the Council Meeting.

MOTION TO ADJOURN

There being no further business, the Chair asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Alderwoman Cagle and seconded by Alderman Contreras with unanimous voice approval and so declared bv the Chair.
