A. Approval of Resolution No. 2019-05-0351R authorizing the conveyance of the Oak Forest Community Center (aka Senior Center) at 15501 South Kilpatrick Avenue to the Oak Forest Park District. The attached memo from Interim City Administrator Julian, dated May 17, 2019, provides supporting details.

A. Approval of the City Council to waive bidding and trade in the City’s 2007 Skid Steer to purchase a new Holland L228 Skid Steer at a budgeted cost of $34,320.00 from Martin Implement of Orland Park, Illinois. The attached memo from Public Works Director Rinchich, dated May 17, 2019, provides supporting details.

CITIZENS PARTICIPATION: The Oak Forest City Council invites public comment at its meetings, but it generally does not have the ability to provide an immediate response to some questions raised during the Citizens Participation portion of a council meeting without some reasonable opportunity to review them. Therefore, the City Council encourages questions to also be submitted in writing in the event that they need to be referred to City staff to help assure a more thoughtful and informed response.

14. EXECUTIVE SESSION: The purpose of this Executive Session is to discuss the purchase or lease of real property for use by the City of Oak Forest, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired, and to discuss the setting of a price for the sale or lease of real estate owned by the City of Oak Forest. The Executive Session is also to discuss litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the City of Oak Forest has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the City finds that an action is probable or imminent in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.
