The data shows that 28 men and four women were released in Harvey. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee is a 21-year-old man sentenced for crimes against a person in 2018, and the oldest is a 60-year-old man sentenced for property crimes in 2018.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Tonu Hurey. He was convicted of crimes involving drugs in 2006 when he was 33 years old. He is now 46.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
