Village of Evergreen Park Board of Trustees met June 17. 

Here is the agenda as provided by the board:

I. CALL TO ORDER: by Mayor Sexton at 7:30 P.M.


II. ROLL CALL: by the Village Clerk.

III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: by Trustee Burke.

IV. OPEN PUBLIC FORUM: Members of the audience are invited to participate. Be prepared to state your name and address, for the record, and please limit your comments to a maximum of 3 minutes.

V. TOPICS FOR BOARD DISCUSSION AND ACTION ONLY:

      1. Approval of Minutes: June 3, 2019.

      2. Board action on Resolution NO. 16-2019.

      3. Water Collector’s Report for May 2019 for information and file.

      4. Village Collector’s Report for May 2019 for information and file.

      5. Village Treasurer’s Report for May 2019 for information and file.

      6. Board action on Applications for Business Regulation Certificates.

      7. Request Board approval of the following Ordinance(s):

           A. ORDINANCE NO. 14-2019, “AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF NOT TO EXCEED $6,300,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 2019, OF THE VILLAGE OF EVERGREEN PARK, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AND FOR THE LEVY OF A DIRECT ANNUAL TAX SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST ON SAID BONDS.”

      8. Board discussion / approval to cancel the 1st Board Meeting in July 2019 (July 1, 2019) and the 1st meeting in August (August 5, 2019).

      9. Request from residents of the 101ST and St. Louis Avenue block for a 4- way stop sign.

      10. Request from Police Chief Michael Saunders to:

              A. Declare a vacancy in police department due to retirement of a patrol officer.

              B. Hire 1 individual from the Probationary Patrol Officer Eligibility List.

      11. Request from Queen of Martyrs Parish to hold Martyrs Fest on September 20 – 22, 2019 and a liquor license in connection with this event.

      12. Village Engineer’s report.

      13. Village Attorney’s Report.

      14. Report on bid openings, bid lettings and disbursements.

      15. Miscellaneous correspondence.

      16. Request adjournment.

VI. ADJOURNMENT: The Open Meeting Act provides for public bodies to meet in sessions closed to the public to discuss certain subject matters. No official action can be taken at a closed session; therefore, any decision reached by the Board will be ratified at a subsequent public meeting.

      To facilitate closing this building during the continued meetings, we would appreciate your vacating the Council Chambers in a timely fashion.
