Q2 2018 Recap: Parolees in Calumet City convicted of property crimes

There were two offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole in Calumet City during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Calumet City were men. The younger parolee was a 28-year-old man sentenced in 2016. The other was a 53-year-old man sentenced in 2017.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Thomas A. Hall. He was convicted of a property crime in 2017 when he was 52 years old. He is now 53.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q2 2018 who were convicted of property crimes.
