Q1 2018 Recap: Parolees in Calumet City convicted of crimes against justice

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against justice released on parole in Calumet City during the first quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Calumet City. The younger parolee was a 35-year-old man sentenced in 2018. The other was a 37-year-old woman sentenced in 2015.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Misty Hollis. She was convicted of a crime against justice in 2015 when she was 33 years old. She is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
