Q3 2018 Recap: Parolees in Evergreen Park convicted of property crimes

There were two offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole in Evergreen Park during the third quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Evergreen Park were men. The younger parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced in 2016. The other was a 36-year-old man sentenced in 2015.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Charles Allen. He was convicted of a property crime in 2015 when he was 32 years old. He is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q3 2018 who were convicted of property crimes.
