Q2 2018 Recap: Parolees in Harvey convicted of homicide

There were three offenders convicted of homicide released on parole in Harvey during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that two men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for homicide was 38. The youngest parolee was a 33-year-old woman sentenced in 2013, and the oldest was a 42-year-old man sentenced in 2001.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Reginald Willis. He was convicted of homicide in 2001 when he was 24 years old. He is now 42.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q2 2018 who were convicted of homicide.
